How to make a flower out of your old scrap fabric!

Hi Bloggie Bff's!
I decided to share how I like to make flowers out of my scraps of fabric!
Its really cute and you always get something new!
Here is what you will need:
♥ Scraps!
♥ Thread and needle
♥ Embelishments: buttons or beads, whatever you would like!

How to make a flower:
1. Find your scraps and decide how big you want your flower to be. I like to use my bigger pieces because it works easier for me, but its up to you!

2. Next take your scrap and fold over one edge (I know it doesn't show it in the picture I forgot to do it before the picture so I had to redo my sewing and then forgot to retake the picture).
3. Sew a running stitch along the edge, starting in the fold and ending in the opposite end. Don't knot off at the end!
4. Now holding the fabric and thread in one hand pull the tread tight with the other hand to form ruffles.
5. Once you have the ruffles sew a knot at the end of the fabric to hold the ruffles or pleats.
6. Now take your half circle of pleats and meet the ends to form a circle!
7. Sew the 2 edges together in small stitches with matching thread.
 7. You should now have a flower!
You can make a smaller one or a bigger one and sew then together to make a layered look or you can leave it single!
8. Now is your chance to embelish the flowers! I like to add buttons to the middle to make them look more like flowers!
Here is a flower I recently made to go on a project that will be featured in an upcoming guest post soon!!

I hope you enjoyed making scrap flowers with me! Go make millions and put them everywhere!
I love to put them on headbands and wear them!
Happy crafting!
